About Us
Redcliffe Church is not a local Church. It is not even a network of churches. There is no organised governmental structure, nor is there any one leader. Leadership is relational and collective, under the oversight of the Redcliffe Ministers Fraternal, which has endorsed this website.
Redcliffe Church is a name which reflects the heart of a growing number of Christians to see one Christian Church in the city of Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia. This one church meets in many locations, with diverse styles of worship, theological expressions, and focal points in mission. This one church comprises local congregations which are a part of a diverse range of denominations and/or networks of churches.
Redcliffe Church affirms the conviction among many Christians throughout the world that it will take a citywide church to see citywide transformation for Christ – one church in the city with many locations.
Vision
The vision of Redcliffe Church is to see lives changed and the city transformed through Jesus Christ.
Strategy
The strategy of Redcliffe Church is still being formulated, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, but includes:
1. Soaking the city in prayer –see the Prayer page
2. Affirming the ministry of Christians in both the church and marketplace
3. Affirming and communicating church-community connections
4. Prayerfully reflecting on the ongoing reformation of the Church, and what it means to be the ‘one holy catholic and apostolic church’ in the 21st century
5. Strengthening the connection between various parts of the citywide church- see the Locations page
……….and more, as the vision unfolds!
